grand opening
Through support from elected officials such as Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, Councilman Herb Wesson Jr., Congresswoman Diane Watson, Proposition K, and partners at the City of Los Angeles Community Development Department, the Foundation is able to maximize its positive community impact.  The Foundation is a member of the Family Resource Association and directly partners with Los Angeles Unified School District, Pathways, Crystal Stairs, Inc., Westside, South Central and Lanterman Regional Centers, Department of Children and Family Services as well as the neighboring elementary/high schools and health clinics.

These well-developed partnerships are vital to serving the surrounding community with a safety net of bottom-line, basic social services that are increasingly critical in this time of economic hardship.

The Jeffrey Foundation is a fully licensed childcare center through the Department of Social Services and is an approved services provider for the State Regional Centers for the Developmentally Disabled. The Foundation also offers a subsidized program for low-income parents, where they can pay on a sliding scale.

CEO and Founder, Alyce Morris Winston is recognized for her pioneering role for special needs children and has received the following honors:

  • Child Care Innovator of the Year
  • California Community Foundation Unsung Hero
  • Susan B. Anthony Professional Woman of the Year
  • American Mothers Inc. California Mother of the Year
  • Sybil Brand Humanitarian Award
  • National Philanthropy Day Founder Award
  • Children, Youth & Families Angels Over LA Award.
